Field Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a skilled and dependable Field Maintenance Technician to join their team in Reading . This role requires travelling to customer locations to perform essential maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of client systems, acting as a key point of contact for technical service needs. The ideal candidate is adept at mechanical and electrical problem-solving, committed to delivering excellent on-site service in the installation & maintenance sector, and serves clients across Berkshire and surrounding counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on client equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system faults.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components efficiently and effectively.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports, including parts usage and repair details.
• Ensure all work conducted adheres to company standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Field Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license for travel to client sites in and around Reading .
• A proactive attitude and commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
