Field Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Field Operations Engineer to support their upstream operations, particularly those serving the Stoke-on-Trent locality. This role involves overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day performance of production assets, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. You will work closely with field teams and onshore engineering groups to address operational challenges and implement improvements. This hybrid role requires a blend of site visits and office-based strategic planning, contributing to the reliable energy supply from assets in the Staffordshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize production rates from wells and facilities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, diagnose equipment failures, and coordinate repair efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and review operating procedures and maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical).
• Several years of experience in field operations within the oil and gas industry .
• Strong understanding of production equipment, processes, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
