Field Service Engineer - Power Generation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to provide essential support for power generation equipment across the Liverpool area. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex power systems, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency for our clients. This role demands a practical, hands-on approach combined with strong technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. You will be an integral part of our service team, traveling to client sites to deliver expert solutions and build lasting relationships, contributing directly to the reliable operation of critical energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain power generation equipment at client sites.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diverse power systems.
• Provide technical support and training to customer personnel.
• Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and inventory of parts.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

• HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the power generation industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with generators, turbines, or related power plant equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
