About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their operational team in Portsmouth, Hampshire . This hands-on role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our telecommunications equipment and infrastructure across various customer sites. You will be responsible for installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance, requiring excellent technical troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on network infrastructure and associated hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults and issues promptly and efficiently.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on site.
• Document all service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures while working on customer premises.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role within telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, networking principles, and relevant hardware.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic and network equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively within the designated service area.
• A valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
