Job Description
Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: National Coverage
Salary: £36,000 – £50,000 DOE
Hours: 45 hours per week
The Role:
This is a varied field-based role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist equipment across customer sites nationwide. The role is approximately 70% mechanical / 30% electrical, making it ideal for a hands-on, mechanically biased engineer. Full training is provided, with opportunities across both service and installation.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and inspections on specialist and workshop equipment.
Install new equipment at customer sites across the UK.
Carry out calibration of specialist equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Inspect vehicle lifts and associated safety equipment, including ropes, pulleys, safety switches and other components.
Attend breakdowns and carry out reactive repairs when required.
Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
Complete digital job sheets, service reports and other documentation using a company tablet.
Work safely and professionally at customer sites.
Liaise directly with customers and provide a high standard of service.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Identify potential sales opportunities where appropriate.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a hands-on mechanical or engineering role.
Mechanical bias with some electrical knowledge.
Experience within vehicle mechanics, mechanical maintenance, machinery, lifting equipment, garage equipment or a similar engineering environment would be advantageous.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
