About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our client's advanced equipment across various customer sites. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing essential installation, troubleshooting, and repair services. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission new equipment at customer locations throughout the Leicestershire region.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and diagnostic checks to ensure system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site, providing timely solutions.
- Respond to emergency service calls and client requests, aiming for rapid resolution and minimal disruption.
- Maintain accurate service reports, parts inventory, and customer interaction logs using company systems.
- Provide basic training and technical guidance to end-users on equipment operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and IT systems relevant to industrial or specialized equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and specialized testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
