Job Description
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical problems?
As a Field Service Engineer covering customer sites across the South of England, you will work on everything from modern PLC-controlled automation and conveyor systems to legacy materials handling equipment that has been supporting customer operations for decades. This variety provides a unique opportunity to develop your skills across multiple technologies while no two days are ever the same.
You'll diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults, carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support installation and commissioning projects, helping customers keep their operations running safely and efficiently.

Field Service Engineers Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, automated handling systems and associated machinery.
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across automation systems.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
* Support equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.
* Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company quality standards.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Our Field Service Engineer will have:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
* Experience diagnosing and resolving faults on industrial equipment.
* Knowledge of:
* AC/DC controls
* Motors and drives
* Sensors and control systems
* PLC fault finding
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Experience within automation, materials handling, manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
* Able to pass DBS and UK Security Clearance checks.
