Field Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime (Enhanced Rate, Uncapped) + Company Van + Training

Location: Midlands

We are a long-established, family-owned engineering business supplying and supporting industrial machinery used to process solid wood, wood-based panels, plastics, composites, and metals. You will work from home and travel directly to customer sites across the Midlands, receiving support from the company's service office and technical team.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, maintain, and repair industrial machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
• Complete machinery inspections and produce accurate service reports.
• Provide technical advice to customers and operators while maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar.
• Mechanical engineering background with electrical fault-finding knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to cover the Midlands.
