About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their distributed team, operating remotely across the Aberdeen region and beyond. This pivotal role involves providing expert on-site technical support and installation services for complex industrial equipment. You will be the primary technical point of contact for our clients, ensuring seamless operation and rapid resolution of any issues. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service standards from their home office and client sites. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and systems, both remotely and on-site.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and servicing to minimize equipment downtime.
• Install, commission, and test new equipment, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Provide comprehensive technical training and support to client personnel.
• Document all service activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in the company's service management system.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools, ensuring readiness for service calls.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with a methodical approach.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and relevant software.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel to client locations as needed.
