About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join their dedicated team serving the Portsmouth area and surrounding Hampshire region. This role involves traveling to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair specialized equipment. You will be the face of the company on-site, providing technical expertise and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality service, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing for efficient planning and reporting from a remote location when not actively on client premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission new equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure efficient use of resources during service calls.
• Maintain detailed service reports and logs using the company's CRM system.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding equipment operation and upkeep.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Field Service Technician or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with strong diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and relevant software.
• A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
