Field Support Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and technically adept Field Support Technician to join their team, based in and around Nottingham . This role involves traveling to customer sites to provide on-site support, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform essential maintenance and repairs. You will be the primary point of contact for clients needing immediate assistance, requiring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, varied daily challenges, and direct client interaction in a field-based capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment as required by clients.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Document all service activities, parts used, and resolutions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a field support or maintenance technician role.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and a good understanding of mechanical or electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during site visits.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and a clean driving record.
