Field Technician

About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent and adaptable Field Technician to support their operations in the Bristol area. This role involves travelling to customer sites to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on specialized equipment. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their systems are functioning optimally and resolving any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate is proficient in diagnosing and fixing technical problems, possesses strong communication skills, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission new equipment at client premises.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine servicing to ensure equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly and efficiently.
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-site technical support.
• Maintain detailed service reports and manage inventory of parts and tools.
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a field service or technical installation role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to read schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively within the designated area.
• A valid UK driving license is essential.
