Finance Analyst – Financial Control & Reporting

London | Hybrid - 12 month FTC

We are currently supporting a rapidly growing international business that has expanded significantly in recent years and is looking to strengthen its finance function with a Finance Analyst focused on financial control, reporting and month-end activities .

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will help ensure the numbers are accurate, understand what is driving changes in performance and provide clear reporting to management.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the month-end and year-end close process
• Monitor the General Ledger , identifying and investigating errors, anomalies and unexpected movements
• Review accounting entries and payments and explain month-on-month variances to management
• Produce clear dashboards and high-level reporting for senior stakeholders
• Develop more regular daily and weekly financial control reports
• Investigate changes in financial data and work with relevant teams to resolve issues
• Support the Financial Controller with maintaining strong financial controls and accurate reporting

About you:

• Experience in financial control, management accounting or financial reporting
• Strong understanding of the General Ledger and month-end processes
• Comfortable analysing financial data and explaining variances to non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel and reporting/dashboard skills
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable investigating discrepancies
• Experience in a fast-growing or changing business would be advantageous
