Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Finance Assistant.
Joining a friendly and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys variety, accuracy and being part of a collaborative team environment.
The role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement; however, the successful candidate must be able to travel to the Crewe office at short notice when required. Therefore, applicants should be based within a commutable distance of Crewe, Cheshire.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring processes run smoothly, deadlines are met and financial records are maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
- Manage the sales ledger, raise invoices and allocate payments.
- Conduct credit control and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end processes.
- Prepare payment runs.
- Assist with accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist the Director with reporting and ad hoc finance tasks.
About You
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
- Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.
- Confident carrying out reconciliations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT - desirable but not essential.
