Finance Director

Finance Director - £100-120k on the base with equity package on top.

Location: Nationwide travel is required, with significant time in the North West and East Midlands.

We have real conviction in what this business is building and believe the opportunity ahead is exceptional. We’re looking for an ambitious Financial Controller or Head of Finance ready to step into their first Finance Director role and play a central part in that journey.

The opportunity:

Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll take ownership of finance while becoming an influential voice in the business’s commercial direction. The appeal goes well beyond the title. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the business grows, challenge thinking and build the financial foundations to support its ambitions. Your contribution will be visible, and your decisions will matter. You’ll need to enjoy getting into the detail, understand what drives performance and be confident turning your insight into action.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Supporting commercial decisions, evaluating growth opportunities and bringing constructive challenge to the leadership team.
• Building the systems, processes and controls needed to support a rapidly growing business.
• Getting close to operations to improve visibility over profitability, performance and working capital.

Who we’re looking for:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with a minimum of 5-7 years PQE
• Prior experience or an obvious passion to work within a high-growth SME environment
• You’ll have a strong grounding in financial control, sound commercial judgement and the ambition to take on a broader leadership role.
• Just as importantly, you’ll be curious, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility. You’ll enjoy understanding the business beyond the spreadsheet, building relationships and making things happen.

Previous Finance Director experience is not required. The capability, attitude and readiness to step up are.

Travel is an essential part of the role, including nationwide travel and significant time in both the North West and East Midlands.
