Finance Manager

We are working with a well-established and highly respected organisation in Lancashire to recruit a

Finance Manager . This is a broad and influential role offering the opportunity to shape financial reporting, develop management information and provide insight that directly supports business decision-making.

The Opportunity Reporting to the

CEO and COO , you will take responsibility for the organisation's Finance function while playing a key role in developing its approach to data and management information reporting.

This is more than a traditional financial management position. You will be expected to understand the story behind the numbers, identify trends and opportunities, and turn financial and operational data into clear, meaningful information for senior management and the Board.

A key focus will be developing a reliable

"single source of truth" , improving reporting and helping the organisation become increasingly data-led in its decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Lead and support the Finance functions, including managing, mentoring and developing the finance team. Oversee monthly management accounts, provide detailed commentary and develop the variance analysis. Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including the development of financial models. Provide financial analysis and insight to support strategic decisions and present information to the Senior Management Team and Board. Oversee regulatory reporting, enhance financial controls and transparency, compliance and audit requirements. Manage cash flow, treasury and banking arrangements, including supplier payments and bank reconciliations. Oversee credit control and monitor arrears performance, identifying trends and recommending actions to minimise risk. Develop and improve management information and reporting across the organisation. Develop meaningful dashboards, KPIs and visual reporting to support product performance. Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. Develop forward-looking MI to support forecasting, planning and strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced finance professional who is confident working with both

financial information and data .

You'll ideally have: Strong experience in financial management, reporting and analysis. Experience with management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling. A strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to turn complex data into clear commercial or operational insight. Experience leading, mentoring or developing a finance team. Strong Excel and financial systems experience. Experience developing MI, dashboards or reporting solutions. Power BI, SQL or other BI experience would be desirable. The confidence to communicate financial information to senior management and Board-level stakeholders.

Professional qualifications such as

ACA, ACCA or CIMA

would be advantageous, although we will also consider an AAT technician and/or relevant experience will also be considered.
