About the Role

Our client, a significant charitable organisation , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to lead its financial operations from their Liverpool office. This key role will oversee all financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance activities, ensuring the sound financial stewardship of the organisation's resources. You will play a critical part in supporting the charity's mission by providing robust financial insights and controls, enabling effective decision-making and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and management accounts.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting, in compliance with accounting standards and charity regulations.
• Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management and the board of trustees.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems to mitigate risk.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager role, ideally within the charitable sector .
• Strong knowledge of charity accounting SORP, financial regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
