A Finance Specialist is required to support the delivery of technical and financial activities within the Statutory Reporting & General Ledger function of our Finance team at AWE.

Key Responsibilities:

• The preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts (AR&A), compiling inputs and obtaining data, casting and review of the final accounts.
• The Finance Manager with 'Environmental, Social & Governance' (ESG) and 'Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures' (TCFD) reporting.
• Supporting the timely and successful completion of the AWE annual audit activity.
• Supporting the process of identifying leases under IFRS accounting standards.
• Supporting the preparation of the MOD ALB reporting and other related submissions as required.
• Supporting the continuous process improvement activity, including updating of relevant process documentation as necessary.

Who are we looking for?

We do need you to have the following:

• A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc) is desirable.
• Experience of financial accounting work.
• An understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.

• Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across a range of teams.
• Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
• Advanced IT capability, strong systems proficiency, particularly in MS Excel.
• Demonstrates sound analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Process compliance.
