Finance Team Leader

Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Team Leader to join our client on a temporary ongoing basis on site at their office near Motherwell.

Joining the organisation at a peak period for the organisation, the successful candidate will work on a Hybrid basis within their fast paced Payroll/Finance Department.

Duties will include:

• Management and resolution of escalated Finance related queries from within the team, via employees and 3rd parties
• Delivering an accurate, timely and compliant with statutory changes that may affect the department, whilst achieving a first-class employee & client experience
• Supervising and leading a team of Finance Officers and Administrators. This includes ensuring all manuals/workflows/desk instructions are kept up to date.
• Support the Senior Manager in process improvement and strategic interventions to further improve the finance service to meet current and future business requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide quality assurance to management in all matters relating to compliance through performing routine checks on output, reconciliations, implementing quality control measures, and facilitating audits
• Lead the delivery of new finace projects, implementations and enhancement of credit control systems and processes

The successful candidate will:

• Proven track record in Payroll data administration and compliance with GDPR and Data Protection Legislation
• Experience of working in a Finance function or HR environment with exposure to the Finance function.
• Experience of issue identification through providing secondary quality assurances and delivering solutions at pace in order to provide excellent customer service
• Have attained Finance qualifications or equivalent or be willing to work towards
