Financial Accountant (Group Reporting)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a focus on Group Reporting to join their finance department in Sheffield . This role is crucial for consolidating financial information from subsidiary companies and preparing accurate group financial statements. You will play a key part in the month-end close process, intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with group accounting policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to develop their skills in complex consolidations and group financial reporting within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage the monthly close process for group entities.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the group level.
• Support the development and implementation of group reporting systems.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and group consolidation principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with consolidation tools is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
