Your role

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team of the RNLI.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this Financial Accountant role will work closely with the Financial Reporting team, particularly the Financial Reporting Manager and Financial Accountant, with the main focus being the delivery of the year end.

This role will predominately support the Financial Reporting team with the year end close process and associated tasks, preparation of accurate statutory reporting and work papers, audit deliverables management and assist with queries from external auditors.

About you

You should hold a recognised accountancy qualification or be working towards a qualification. You should also have:

• Substantial post qualified experience or equivalent
• Strong experience in preparation of statutory and management accounts
• Charity experience desirable
• Strong Excel skills

The successful candidate will be an organised team-player with good attention to detail and the ability to consistently provide a high standard of work within deadlines. You will need to have the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
