Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial statements and reporting. You will play a key part in the month-end close process, statutory reporting, and supporting financial compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant to make a significant contribution to the financial health and transparency of the organisation in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger postings.
• Support the preparation of tax computations and filings.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary information and support.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting processes.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong financial accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP or IFRS standards.
• Experience with financial reporting tools and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
