Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their team, offering a fully remote working opportunity based in Belfast . You will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, managing the general ledger, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file statutory financial accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes for the general ledger.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of tax computations and submissions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial information and analysis.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, including statutory accounts preparation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the UK .
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial matters.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a remote working environment.
