Our client is seeking a proactive and diligent Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant standards.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Assist with internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and providing required documentation.
- Monitor and improve internal financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to tax computations and filings as required.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or fully qualified Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
