Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a proactive and diligent Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Wolverhampton . Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant standards.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis and commentary on financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and providing required documentation.
• Monitor and improve internal financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute to tax computations and filings as required.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or fully qualified Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
