Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance department, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting, managing statutory compliance, and contributing to the month-end close process. You will play a key part in maintaining robust financial records and supporting the wider finance team with critical accounting functions. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
• Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and assist with audit processes.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent with substantial experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing the month-end close.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
