About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Glasgow . This role is instrumental in providing crucial financial insights, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving business performance through data-driven analysis. You will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and preparing reports that guide senior management decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen business acumen, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial performance.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management review.
• Support business case development for new projects and initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support their financial needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a financial analysis or related role.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling) and financial software.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and data analysis techniques .
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
