About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Bradford . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data, driving financial strategy, and managing a team of finance professionals. The position offers a hybrid working model, blending essential in-office leadership with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all financial reporting, including management accounts and statutory statements.
• Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and policies.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning processes.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Expertise in financial reporting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP software.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and office-based responsibilities.
