Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting for a strategic and experienced Financial Controller to lead their accounting operations in Coventry . This senior position requires a proactive leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health of the organisation, driving operational efficiencies, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis and insights.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance financial efficiency.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in a financial controller or senior accounting management role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
