About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Leeds . This senior position is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and the board.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a controller role.
- Extensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong strategic thinking skills.
