Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Liverpool . This senior position is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. You will play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department, including financial reporting, general ledger, and internal controls.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee banking relationships.
• Provide strategic financial advice and support to the senior management team.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in a senior financial role.
• Proven track record in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience with financial systems implementation and ERP software.
