About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance operations in Manchester . This senior position will be responsible for the overall financial health of the organization, including accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will play a key role in driving financial strategy, managing risk, and ensuring the company's financial sustainability and growth, acting as a key advisor to the executive team and board, and championing best practices in financial management across the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement robust internal control systems to ensure compliance and prevent fraud.
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, providing strategic financial insights.
- Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and treasury functions.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and statutory requirements in the UK .
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Proven track record in financial control, reporting, and audit management.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS ), and corporate governance.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced analytical tools.
