About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead their accounting operations in Milton Keynes . This senior position requires a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of financial management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. You will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring the accuracy of all financial reporting, and playing a key role in the company's financial strategy and growth. This is a critical leadership opportunity within a growing organisation in Buckinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and tax returns.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Partner with senior management on financial planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior accounting management role.
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting , corporate finance, and UK tax regulations .
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
