About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Financial Controller to manage their financial operations in Derby . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, managing budgets, and providing crucial financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Develop and manage the company's annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Oversee the audit process, liaising with external auditors.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA qualification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
