Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Bradford . This senior position is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will play a key role in strategic financial planning, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and providing critical insights to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards .
• Develop and manage the annual budget process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the senior management team in Bradford .

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and current tax legislation.
• Excellent understanding of financial control frameworks and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
