About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Bradford . This senior position is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will play a key role in strategic financial planning, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and providing critical insights to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards .
- Develop and manage the annual budget process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the senior management team in Bradford .
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and current tax legislation.
- Excellent understanding of financial control frameworks and audit procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
