Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance operations remotely. This senior position is crucial for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, ensuring robust financial planning, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls. You will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial strategy and driving profitability. Working entirely from home, you'll have the autonomy to manage your workload effectively while collaborating closely with the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A).
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership position.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for remote team management.
