About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and strategic Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Sheffield . This senior role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial planning. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data, driving efficiencies, and providing vital financial leadership. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Manage the annual budget process and provide variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification is essential.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior accounting role.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
