Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function in Belfast . This senior position demands strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of financial strategy, and the ability to manage all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, and reporting. You will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial direction, ensuring robust controls, and driving profitability. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and compliance.
• Develop and manage financial strategies, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for executive management and the board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax filings.
• Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, corporate finance, and accounting principles.
• Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
