Our client seeks a highly accomplished Financial Controller to lead their financial operations on a remote basis, overseeing functions from Belfast . This senior position demands strategic financial leadership, responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, and the development of robust internal controls. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations , accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, ideally with experience managing remote teams.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced analytical tools.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
