About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Bristol . This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data, implement internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a thorough understanding of financial regulations, and the ability to lead a finance team effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international financial regulations.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or equivalent professional qualification is required.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years in a controller role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
