Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent and organised Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of their growing business in Glasgow . This senior role is responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will play a key part in developing financial strategies, managing budgets, and implementing internal controls to support business growth and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and data.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
• Experience in financial strategy development and risk management.
