Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join their finance leadership team in Bristol . This role is central to providing strategic financial insights, driving the budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting executive decision-making. You will lead a small team, develop sophisticated financial models, and present financial performance analysis to key stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to make a substantial impact on the strategic direction of the company through robust financial analysis and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario analysis, long-range planning, and investment appraisals.
• Prepare insightful monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand business drivers and provide financial support and guidance.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business performance against targets.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or MBA with a strong FP&A background.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling and data visualization tools .
• Strong understanding of financial principles and business strategy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing a team is advantageous.
