Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join their esteemed team in Cambridge . This critical role involves leading the FP&A function, driving strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support business growth and profitability. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and department heads, providing key financial insights and strategic guidance within the competitive banking and finance sector. This hybrid position allows for a balance of in-office collaboration and focused remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and long-range financial planning processes.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Develop and refine financial models to support strategic decision-making, investment analysis, and business case development.
• Partner with business units to understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights.
• Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Mentor and develop the FP&A team, fostering a high-performance culture.

  Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related role within the financial services industry.
• Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with financial planning software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, business operations, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
