Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead their FP&A function in Nottingham . This vital role will drive financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives to support business growth and profitability. You will be responsible for developing insightful financial analysis, reporting key performance metrics, and partnering with senior leadership to inform critical business decisions. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the organization, contributing to robust financial strategies in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting cycles.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, performance dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Partner with department heads to understand business drivers, financial performance, and investment opportunities.
• Identify key business trends and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Continuously improve FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with financial software and advanced MS Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
