Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join their finance leadership team in a fully remote capacity, supporting their operations around Oxford . This key role will drive the financial planning, forecasting, and analytical processes, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to develop financial models, analyse performance, and identify opportunities for profitability enhancement. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical professional with excellent communication skills, capable of leading FP&A functions remotely and driving financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop robust financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment appraisal.
• Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate these to senior management.
• Prepare management reports and presentations that clearly articulate financial performance and future outlook.
• Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Partner with business units to understand their financial needs and provide strategic support.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or MBA with significant experience in FP&A.
• Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, and using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of business strategy and how financial planning supports it.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, essential for remote engagement .
• Ability to lead and mentor a team in a remote working environment.
