About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Manager to lead their financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function in Bristol . This role is pivotal in guiding the company's financial strategy, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. You will collaborate closely with senior management and department heads to provide critical financial insights that support business growth and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the financial direction of the organization, requiring strong leadership and analytical capabilities within the South West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the annual budgeting and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop and refine financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Provide financial support and analysis for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Mentor and manage a team of financial analysts.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
- Proficiency in FP&A software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.
