Financial Planning Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Financial Planning Manager to lead their FP&A function in Sheffield . This role is central to the financial health of the organization, responsible for driving the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. You will provide crucial analytical support to senior leadership, helping them make informed strategic decisions. The hybrid model allows for close collaboration within our Sheffield office and the flexibility of remote work, ensuring optimal team performance and individual focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Create and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities.
• Prepare management reports and presentations that clearly communicate financial insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and provide support.
• Continuously improve financial planning processes and tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or MBA with a strong finance background.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial control, or strategic finance.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities and collaborating across teams.
