Financial Reporting Manager
We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys combining technical excellence with leadership, business partnering and continuous improvement. If you are passionate about financial governance, developing people and making a genuine impact in a complex and evolving organisation, we would love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring VIVO meets all of its statutory, regulatory and shareholder financial reporting obligations. From overseeing statutory accounts and treasury management to leading our Purchase to Pay team and supporting external audits, you will help ensure the financial integrity of an organisation with revenues exceeding £850 million.
Working closely with finance colleagues, operational leaders, outsourced service providers and shareholders, you will provide expert financial guidance while driving improvements in processes, controls and reporting. You will also help shape the future of the finance function through automation, innovation and the development of your team.
This is a varied role offering exposure across financial reporting, treasury, governance, tax, IFRS, process improvement and people leadership.
You will lead treasury activities, producing rolling cash flow forecasts and managing relationships with banking partners and the central treasury function. You will oversee fixed asset and lease accounting, ensuring assets are accurately recorded and accounted for in line with IFRS.
You will manage balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and CIS reporting, payroll control accounts and support the production of statutory accounts, shareholder reporting and external audits. Working alongside legal advisers, auditors and external specialists, you will help ensure compliance with Companies House requirements and wider financial legislation.
Leading the Purchase to Pay (P2P) team, you will develop your people while improving efficiency, controls and service delivery. You will work collaboratively with procurement, outsourced finance providers and senior finance leaders to enhance end-to-end financial processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will also provide technical accounting guidance across the business, supporting colleagues with IFRS compliance, financial policies and best practice while helping strengthen VIVO's overall financial control environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least three years' post‑qualification experience in financial reporting or financial control.
You should bring strong technical knowledge of IFRS together with experience of statutory accounts, treasury and cash flow management, external audit and financial governance. Previous experience managing or developing a finance team is important, along with a strong understanding of Purchase to Pay processes.
You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, able to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence positive outcomes across the business. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems would be highly beneficial.
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people and helping build a high‑performing finance function.
