Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission a range of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on installed systems, ensuring compliance with NSI standards.
• Conduct system testing and provide comprehensive documentation and client handover.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults effectively, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, standards, and regulations in fire and security systems.
• Provide basic training to end-users on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Systems Engineer or technician.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5839, BS 7858, and other relevant industry standards.
• Experience with various manufacturers' fire alarm panels and security systems.
• Excellent understanding of electrical principles and basic networking.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
