About the Role

Our client seeks a qualified Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh . This role involves the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and intruder detection systems for a diverse client base across the region. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises, requiring a high level of technical proficiency and a customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and servicing on existing security and fire systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, providing timely and effective repairs to ensure system functionality.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
• Maintain accurate site records, service reports, and equipment logs for all installations and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Systems Engineer or a similar role, with knowledge of multiple system types.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm standards (e.g., BS 5839) and security system principles.
• Proficiency in fault finding, wiring, and testing of electronic security and life safety systems.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, NSI) are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be able to travel to sites in and around Edinburgh .
