Fire and Security Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Systems Engineer to join their team serving the Bristol region. This vital role involves the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of advanced fire detection, alarm, and security systems for commercial and domestic clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and system reliability, working with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic field. Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and testing of installed systems to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire and security systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installations, maintenance visits, and repair works.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards, British Standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an engineer specializing in fire and security systems .
• Strong technical knowledge of various manufacturers' fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control equipment.
• Familiarity with relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7858, BS 6262).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for installation and fault finding.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel within the service area, with occasional remote planning tasks.
